1. Delivery/Carriage charges in brief
We try to keep things clear and simple. Carriage is free of charge for all orders over £85.00 excluding VAT to most mainland UK destinations. Orders under £85.00 we charge £5.95 + VAT. This is based on next working day delivery if the order is received before 12pm (Mid day). Orders despatched on a Friday will be delivered on the following Monday.
Please note that although our website states "In stock" this is not always possible, delivery next day is only possible if the goods are in stock, we do not guarantee next day delivery, the carriage charge for orders under £85 is a subsidised charge to cover the cost of transport.
There will be an extra charge to the highlands and islands of Scotland, northern Ireland and other islands around the UK. If you are not sure if an extra carriage charge will be applied you should enter your address in the checkout for an instant quotation.
The full carriage charge will be quoted at the checkout page once the delivery address details have been entered, with the exception of heavy goods and long goods where the carriage is quoted seperately.
2. Countries & zones, delivery options
Zone 0 - Local North East postcodes: delivery free
Zone 1 - England & Wales Mainland: all postcodes - 5.95 per delivery if order total is below £85
Zone 7 - Scottish Lowlands Mainland: DG, TD, EH, FK1-19, KA1-26, KY, ML, PA1-14, 21-39, PH15-41 - 5.95 per delivery if order total is below £85
Zone 2 - Northern Ireland: BT 1-17 - £19.95 per delivery
Zone 11 - Northern Ireland: BT 18-93 - £20.95 per delivery
Zone 4 - Channel Islands: £39.95 per delivery
Zone 5 - Isle of Man: £39.95 per delivery
Zone 10 - Isle of Wight: PO30-41 - £24.95 per delivery
Zone 6 - Scottish Highlands: IV2, AB37-38, 51-56, FK20-21, IV1, 3-30, 52-54, KW1-14, PA21-39 - £19.95 per delivery
3. Heavy Goods
These products are over the maximum weight for standard carriage charges therefore carriage is quoted seperately. To give an idea of the approximate cost, we normally quote £45.00 for delivery to standard UK destinations up to 100kg, and £55.00 up to 1000kg. Outside of these areas (e.g. highlands & islands, northern Ireland etc) then we need specific address details to be provide an individual quotation.
4. Long Goods
These products are over the 2.6m maximum length allowable for standard carriage therefore carriage is quoted seperately.
5. Fragile Goods
These products are fragile and are liable to be damaged in transit, as we have found in the past using an external carrier. Unfortunately we cannot despatch these goods by carrier. The following rules apply:
Local delivery
We can deliver by van from our premises throughout the North East of England.
Orders Of Sufficient Quantity
We can deliver direct from the manufacturer, the order for lamps would need to be a minimum of £150.00 for this facility.
Returns Policy
Goods that are received damaged must be reported to us within 24 hours. We will either exchange them or provide a full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. If you would like to return an item purchased from our online catalogue, for whatever reason, return it to us within 14 days of the delivery date together with the original packaging in 'Saleable Condition' and we will provide a refund less a 25% returns charge, Items ordered from manufacturer may incurer higher returns charges (excluding VAT@20.00%) . In the case of non-stock items we cannot authorise a refund until it has been authorised by the manufacturer. We will not be responsible for the cost of return postage or delivery.
